I am looking forward to a new beginning, a new Journey in 2016, this journey will take me through learning some new crafts and revisiting some old ones.

The Chinese philosopher Laozi said

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" 

well my single step on this journey is my Art Journal.  Some of which I will share here.

One of this weeks challenges in the Journal was the quote

 " When you look at life through eyes of Gratitude, at 

the world becomes a Magical and Amazing place."  my next step

This is my take on it. What am I grateful for, well living for one thing (was a close run thing a couple of times last year), the ability to see and do, to bring pleasure to others through my art. 

Nature is my inspiration in all things, Especially Butterflies and dragonflies as they represent change is possible (they start as ugly caterpillar or nymph and change into something truly beautiful)

And a quote to finish this entry, the late great Terry Pratchett once said

"People are often so busy living that they never stop to wonder why"

Maybe that's my next step, learning to slow down enough to wonder.  There is certainly enough out there to wonder about.
